Pictures are a necessary and fun part of our business.  This whole Instagram fad just doesn’t seem to be going away.  But swimming in the Instagram sea can leave you feeling like you are sinking or barely staying afloat.  Well, not to worry.  You can do this and I’m here to help.  You can get better, more pro pictures for your Instagram account by doing these 7 steps.  So, here’s

How to Get Instagram Worthy Pictures in 7 Easy Steps

1.  Find the light.  Nothing ruins a picture faster than bad lighting and there is no amount of editing that can fake bad lighting.  Taking your pictures in nice, even light with open shade is best.  You can find this by standing by the window, opening a door or going by your garage or porch (but be careful of harsh, direct light).
2. Clear the space.  There is no need to show the messy parts.  Take some time to clear the space from things that might detract from your picture.
3. Find the angle.  Shooting from above or at ground level are great ways to add interest to your shot.
4. Learn how to use your iPhone’s secret functions.  Your phone is much more powerful than you thought.  It has a lot of functions that make taking pictures easy.  (If you want more training on this, you can check out my FREE 5 day Iphone training course here).
5. Shoot in square mode.  When you shoot in square mode, you can see exactly what will be included in your square picture on Instagram.
6. Get stable.  Camera shake can ruin your picture.  To avoid this, keep your arms close to your body so that your hands are stabilized.
