In the middle of last year, we bought a house. It definitely wasn’t planned, but we felt directed by God, so we bought this house and we absolutely love it. (If you want to hear the whole story, listen here. It is miraculous.)
Well, you know how long it takes to unpack and get settled, right? We’ve been unpacked for a few months, but now we are going room by room and making it ours. One night in late December, my husband turned to me and asked what my dream office wall would look like. I found this picture from Our Faux Farmhouse and he went to work to make this herringbone wall.
I’ve been looking all over for the right saying that would inspire me and would encompass the feeling I want my business to portray. I looked online everywhere and couldn’t ever find the right quote. Finally, my husband and I went on a date night to find the finishing touches to my new wall. When I walked into Hobby Lobby and started going up and down the isles, this quote just grabbed me.
You see, I know how it feels growing a business online while raising kids. It can be really lonely, but I don’t think it has to feel that way. I definitely want to help you know how to run a successful online business, but I also want you to have the love and support you need to have the confidence to succeed. My goal with my community is for you to feel welcomed, understood and like you belong here, because Darling, you do belong here!
We also found those huge flowers at Hobby Lobby. I fell in love with them and hoped that they would fit the style that I wanted, but since I didn’t really have any green in my room, I was nervous. When I got them home, they fit perfectly with my flower painting from a local artist, Lindy Pardee.
This home office makes me so happy! I love sitting here, using my planner and creating content to help you and your business. So, now as you listen to my podcast you can picture me sitting at this desk, talking to you.
