When and Why did you start your business/blog/Instagram?
When I first became a mom, I had severe Postpartum Depression. I relied a whole lot on my sisters and my mom and was really worried about those who didn’t have a support system. I created a group on FB that started out with around 30-40 close friends and family members and it grew into a group of over 26K moms supporting each other. Once it hit around 300 members I created a blog to go along with it and have loved throwing events, service projects, and so much more with it!
What are your three best business tips?
1. Stay true to yourself and your brand and don’t short change yourself by being or doing something that isn’t.
2. Be willing to work hard and expect it to be a bit of a roller coaster.
3. Enjoy the ride! Success doesn’t have everything to do with money.
What’s your favorite quote?
“I don’t want to drive up to the pearly gates in a shiny sports car, wearing beautifully, tailored clothes, my hair expertly coiffed, and with long, perfectly manicured fingernails.
I want to drive up in a station wagon that has mud on the wheels from taking kids to scout camp.
I want to be there with a smudge of peanut butter on my shirt from making sandwiches for a sick neighbors children.
I want to be there with a little dirt under my fingernails from helping to weed someone’s garden.
I want to be there with children’s sticky kisses on my cheeks and the tears of a friend on my shoulder.
I want the Lord to know I was really here and that I really lived.”
