1. In-person.

In-person selling is the basic way that most MLM’s have been done in the past. This is you, the Maskcara artist, selling your makeup in-person to mostly people that you know.

Pros: These people are most likely from your warm market. A warm market are those people who already know, like and trust you. These are usually your family, friends and friends of friends. Because they know you, they trust you and your recommendations. This makes it easier to sell to them.
In-person selling is also great because you can get the makeup on the person. And we know that when people try the makeup, they love it. Having your customers visit you in-person also gives you the personal connection. These three things make in-person selling great.

Cons: You are limited in the number of people you sell your product to. You can only meet and put makeup on so many people. You are also limited in the contacts you can make. Lastly it takes up a lot of time to meet and apply makeup to a lot of people.

2. Online

Selling online is the way that MLM’s are changing. Now that almost everyone is on social media it makes it easier to build an audience and sell to them.

Pro: You are able to sell to more people. With millions and millions of people online, you can reach a lot more people. Also, you are able to use automation to take care of your customers. We use a color match quiz that they can take online and then are sent a series of emails. They get all of the most important information automatically without me having to respond to a bunch of texts or emails.

Cons: Using online, you are reaching a lot of your cold market. Your cold market are those people who don’t know you, so they don’t necessarily trust you. It is harder to sell to these people because you haven’t established a relationship of trust.
You also aren’t able to get the makeup on their faces for them to try. This can make things a little bit tricky and harder to make the sell.

3. Fusion

Fusion is when you marry in-person with online to sell Maskcara. I have found that this is the best and easiest way to get started selling the makeup. The first step is to let your warm market know that you are selling Maskcara and then while you are selling to those people, start creating your online presence and automation systems so that you can grow into selling more online later.

Understanding these different methods of selling and deciding how you are going to use them is crucial in your business success. You totally got this!
