When I started the Maskcara Experiment, I was testing a number of things.  The first one was to see if I could build an MLM online.  The second was to test how well using blogging, SEO and Pinterest would work in helping my business grow.  The reason this is so significant for you, whether you are a Maskcara artist or not is that I started pretty much from scratch in creating a blog about Maskcara.  Within two months, I’ve gotten five girl signed up under me and 4 of the 5 found me through my blog.

Does that blow your mind?  That means that you don’t have to rely on your friends wanting to sign up, but that there are people out there searching for what you are offering.  And with the right strategy and know-how, you can attract the right people to come to your blog and become a part of your business or team.

What in the world!  434% is a whole lot more.  Want to show up on Google?  Have a blog.  Blogging gives you more content for Google to look through, which is an important factor for SEO.  More information on your blog gives you more credibility with the search engines.

2. B2B marketers have found blogging to be significantly more time and cost-effective than traditional lead generation methods 

Business to Business marketers have a lot of resources at their hands and they find blogging to be more time and const-effective than other lead generating methods.  That is great for us little guys, because it means that we don’t have to pay the big bucks for ads but we can create high quality content and get leads.

3. Blogs are trusted sources of information and advice say 81% of US online consumers. 

4. 61% of US online consumers have made a purchase based on recommendations from a blog.

These two go hand-in-hand.  When blogs first came along, no one trusted them, but that has all changed.  Blogs are now a trusted source of information.  People will trust blogs because they allow potential customers to see the personal side of business and really get to know the people behind the business.

 5. Small businesses that blog get 126% more leads than small businesses that do not blog.

Being a small business is tough because we don’t have the man power or the money to get huge advertising contracts or features.  Your blog is basically free, right?  All it takes is time and a little know-how.  Creating a blog is a critical part of getting found online.
