It is a way to house all of your emails that you collect from customers and followers.  Once you get more than 20 customers, you are going to have to move over from Gmail and find some software that will help you organize your emails.

Cost per month: Free up to 2,000 subscribers, $49+/month

*NOTE: If you are a part of direct sales (aka: MLM), then you cannot use Mailchimp as your email provider for that business.

Better

ConvertKit

Convert Kit is a step up from Mailchimp and if you have more than 2,000 on your email list, then Mailchimp will be charging you anyways and ConvertKit has more functions.  So, Convertkit is a great software to use.

Ontraport

Ontraport is crucial to how I run my business.  I’m able to create all of my landing pages that look cohesive and professional and easily connected to my email list.  While most people have to pay for a separate site to host their courses, Ontraport allows me to have a password protected part of my site where I host my courses.  So, Ontraport is not just an email list provider it is how I run my business.
