It’s a simple 5-step plan, but time and time again it has worked for my business and so many others. Are you ready for it to work for you too? I know I am!

Having a killer brand is where it all starts with having a business built to last. Implementing these five steps on how to create a killer brand from start to finish will be the best thing you could do for your business. If you feel like it’s too much to do this on your own, I’m here to help!

For the month of June, I’m giving you a HUGE discount of $1000 off when you sign up as one of my clients. My team and I will revamp your brand strategy and get you started in the right direction. Let me help you make the revamp in your brand to help your business be built to last. www.iammichellegifford.com

Step 1: Create Brand Messaging

A lot of times your messaging is too broad because you are trying to solve more than one problem for more than one person. You may think keeping your brand message broad is a good thing because it will attract even MORE people, right? Oh, but that’s not the case. The more specific you are with who you serve and how you serve them the better. I want you to get as specific as solving that one problem for that one person. How can your business be the solution to it? Discovering this is where the magic happens.

Once you figure out the specific problem you solve for the people you serve, word it in a way that those people will be attracted to it. Think of where your followers are RIGHT NOW rather than where they will be AFTER the problem is solved. Think back to when you were someone with the same problem. How did you talk, think, and feel about it? When you start speaking your people’s language, more and more people will think, “She’s talking directly to me” and that feeling will move people to act!

Step 2: Create Colors, Fonts, and Logos

Your colors, fonts and logos are all there to help support your visual brand. This is where you can find things that will set you apart from your competitors, visually. Think about what you sell and the colors that would match well with those products or services. For fonts, it’s a good rule of thumb to keep it simple. You don’t want to get too artsy to where people have a hard time reading it. You really want to pick something plain enough that people can read it at a glance.

You may be tempted to choose your colors, fonts, and logos first because it seems easier than step one. However, your brand messaging is what helps you get to know your audience. Once you know your audience better, this will help you know what to choose when creating your visual brand.

Step 3: Create a Killer Website

If you’re having a hard time deciding what to even say on your website, stop thinking about all the different people who would be reading it. Instead, think about your ideal customer and what you would want them to read. Narrowing it down will make it way easier for you in the creation process and easier for your people to find you! That’s a win-win, for sure.

Creating a website can be overwhelming–not just from the choices of content and design, but emotionally too! Are you really legit enough to have your own website? Having a professionally made website can be what turns your side hustle into a business built to last. That can be a lot to accept at first, so I want to be there to help you through it.

Right now for the month of June, I’m doing a huge sale where you can get one of my Showit templates for $200 off. Choose your favorite and make it yours! All of my templates are strategically designed to attract and convert your audience. If you’re ready to invest in your business and really make it built to last, this deal is for you!

Step 4: Create an Email List

I know, you’re probably thinking, “Michelle, enough with the email list!” But I talk about it so much because it WORKS. You’ll love that you have a way to communicate to your audience that is yours and not run by Instagram or some other social media site.

You can create a really simple content plan for your email list. I have some great resources, so click here to get an idea for your email list strategy. Once you create your email list, create an opt-in where people will want to join your list and keep getting your content! There’s a reason people opt in to your email list, they like what you have to say and offer them! An email list is just another way for you to serve your people.

Step 5: Create a Content Plan

What does your content plan look like right now? What we don’t want is for you to be making content just for the sake of making content. Look at your business goals and see if your current content plan supports those goals. Once you evaluate your content and goals, you can adjust where needed.

I just had a client who wanted me to look at her content strategy to see if it needed any tweaking. I noticed her podcast wasn’t fully supporting her business goals, so she changed it. Her podcast before was fun and inviting, but it wasn’t helping her meet her business goals. I share this because I want you to really think about the content you are creating and while it may seem like valuable content, it may not be supporting your business goals which is what you ultimately want.
