In today’s episode of the Michelle Gifford podcast, I’m sharing with you one of my biggest secrets to growing my Maskcara business to what it is. I use Interact Quizzes to get quality leads. I asked Jane and Jess from the Interact team to come on and teach us the best way to use quizzes to grow our email lists. Their software is so awesome, that I just created a quiz in less than 10 minutes. You should take it.
How to use quizzes to boost your email list.
What are Interact Quizzes?
Interact is a tool for creating online quizzes that generate leads, segment your audience, and drive traffic to your website. It is built for businesses and has all the features you’ll need to create your own lead generation quiz that grows your company. Basically, it is a great way to build your email list.
Are Interact quizzes for you?
Before you invest in creating quizzes, I recommend that you spend the time to create a website/blogsite and set up your email list. This is so that you have the foundation to really use the quizzes to grow your business. You can make a quiz without a blog and email list, but if you really want it to impact your business, you will want to have a way to capture the emails of those who take the quiz.
Features of Interact quizzes:
-Integrates with most email marketing systems (I use Ontraport)
-Segment your audience (so you can keep track of which people get which answers. This gives you a lot of information about your audience and you can recommend specific products and services based on their answers)
-Fully customizable to fit your brand colors and feel
-100’s of free templates that are ready to use now
How do I use Interact quizzes for my business?
These quizzes are the secret to how I run my Maskcara business. I knew that the top problem I would have selling Maskcara makeup online is that it would be hard to color match people online without personally getting a picture from every single person who needed to order. I searched and searched for a dynamic quiz that had the power to segment quiz takers into 16+ results. Interact software was the answer (and a direct answer to prayers). Over the last year of using it, we have built a solid email list and business funnel.
How many questions should I use on my Interact quiz?
Keep your quizzes 6-10 questions long. Any more and people won’t finish the quiz.
What type of questions should I use in my Interact quiz?
Avoid “yes” and “no” answers. Don’t ask for personal information. Keep the questions short. Use pictures when appropriate.
What kind of emails should I send after the Interact quiz is taken?
The first email should deliver the quiz result. Send between 2-4 emails specific to each result and keep the information pertinent to their quiz result. So, if I were to have a “What type of businesswoman are you?”, I could send specific podcast and product recommendations tailored to each answer.
How long does it take to create an Interact quiz?
Well, the one I created for this blog post took 10 minutes because I used one of their templates. The one that we created for the color match quiz took a long time (and my biz partner JoEllen gets all the credit for this huge accomplishment).
How much does it take to create a quiz with Interact?
They have free plans, but to integrate with your email list, the plans start out at $17/month and go up from there.
