3 Things Every Maskcara Artist Must Get Over to Be Successful

Signing up to become a Maskcara artist is usually the easy part of the business. It is all of the other stuff that comes with it that can feel complicated. As in almost everything, the answer to this lies in you. (Does that feel a little woowoo to you? well, too bad, it’s true.)

If you will get over these three things, you will become a better Maskcara artist instantly. Let’s get to it.

1. Get over selling.

Realizing that you are actually selling something and then acting on it is hard. You are being put in a position that you have never been in before (most of you anyways). You are now in a place where you are asking people to give you money for something of value.

Selling is good. Say it with me…”selling is good”. Good.

You are being sold to all the time and it is actually good because it allows you to experience and do new things. The way you sell is what can get and feel icky. So, accept that you are selling and then commit to becoming a good salesman.

2. Get over “no”.

Because you’ve accepted that you are selling something, you also need to accept that people will tell you “no”. And that “no” isn’t personal. Your customer has taken in all of the information and has just decided that the makeup isn’t right for her right now. Period. It doesn’t mean you are a bad person (and actually you are a truly wonderful person), they just aren’t ready to buy your product.

Accepting this will give you increased courage and resilience because you will realize that it really isn’t about you.

3. Get over being a part of an MLM

When I first joined Maskcara, I would tell people about it with hushed tones. I didn’t want word to get out that I had joined an MLM. Now things are different. I’m a lot more educated on the topic and let’s face it, Maskcara is THE place to be.

While MLM might have an icky connotation right now, I project that the more influencers and bloggers pick up on it, the more mainstream it will become. This is actually happening already. Look around and you will probably start seeing some of your favorite Instagrammers are part of some MLM.

People might have bad things to say about MLM’s, but remember, Maskcara is different and the best place to be. So, wear it with pride and start rockin’ it.

Those are the three things every Maskcara Artist needs to get over to find success. And really, once you accept these things, you can move on with confidence and accomplish your goals.
