How Much Does ManyChat Cost?

You’ve probably heard some of the great things ManyChat can do for your business, but the bottom line is how much does ManyChat cost? Let’s find out!

ManyChat Pricing Plans

ManyChat is a chatbot marketing software that helps you automate your lead generation, and increase your overall reach and sales. It does this through automated messaging on several different platforms. Depending on your purchase plan, you’ll have more access to its features and functions. ManyChat has three different pricing plans–Free, Pro, and Premium. Let’s go over each one. 

 

ManyChat Free Version

With ManyChat’s free version, you get access to its basic features and can engage with up to 1,000 of your contacts. You can engage with these contacts through Instagram DMs, Facebook Messenger, and WhatsApp. 

The basic features include access to ManyChat’s unlimited custom flows that allow you to automate your conversations with your contacts. You will also be able to use ManyChat’s Growth Tools to help bring leads to your automation and you can create up to 10 customer tags which will help organize your contacts. 

 

ManyChat Pro Version

The ManyChat pro version includes everything in the free pricing plan plus SMS texting and email channel access. This will allow you to engage with your customers in more places and have a larger chance of communicating with them in a place they prefer. (Email is HUGE!) 

Unlike the free version, you can engage with an unlimited number of contacts, and as you grow there will be a scaled pricing based on that contact number. You have unlimited access to its Growth Tools and Keywords–which will help expand your customer reach–and tags, custom fields, and advanced segments. 

You’ll also have access to ManyChat’s Analytics and Insights which is so helpful! It is so nice to have your metrics all in one place and will help you see if ManyChat is actually worth it for your business. From this information, you’ll be able to see where you should shift your focus, and which strategies are bringing you the most leads and/or sales. 

Plus, a nice bonus that comes with pro is your messaging can have your own personal branding instead of ManyChat branding. The free version is branded by ManyChat, but since you’re paying for it in the pro version, it’ll only show your personal brand and logo. 

This pro version begins at $15/month and will be scaled based on the number of contacts you’re engaging with. 

 

ManyChat Premium Version

ManyChat’s premium version comes at a fixed monthly cost and is customized by a sales member. Depending on your needs for your business, you will discuss your goals with the ManyChat sales member and the two of you will decide on the monthly cost for the premium pricing plan. 

The premium version includes unlimited access to all of ManyChat’s tools to help you grow your business and automate your lead generation. The main selling point of this plan is the added customer support and training you get from ManyChat experts. You’ll have access to live chat support to guide you along the way, unlimited trainings with a customer success manager, priority access to automation experts, and live chat technical support. 

Starting a new software can be challenging and you will probably have a lot of questions and run into some roadblocks along the way, so having this option to communicate with a ManyChat expert any time you need will be a lifesaver! 

 

 

How to Choose the Right ManyChat Pricing Plan for Your Business

Alright, now that we walked through the three different ManyChat pricing plans, it’s time to figure out which one is right for your business. I personally use the pro version and love it. I’m a huge advocate for email and text marketing, so having ManyChat to help with those channels is a game-changer! 

I have a little over 180K Instagram followers and am getting thousands of comments on my posts where I’m using ManyChat features, so this is where the pro version works perfectly for me. I’m engaging with more than 1K contacts, so I need the pro version in order to communicate with all of them. I’m also a succor for some solid analytics, so I love the access I have to the ManyChat Analytics where I can see which flows are bringing in the most leads and sales for me. 

If you are in a similar position where you are communicating with thousands of contacts, repeatedly getting asked the same questions, and spending way too much time commenting and responding to DMs, then the pro version is your best bet. 

If you are just starting your business and focusing on 1-2 channels e.g. Instagram, then by all means start with the free version. You can still bring in lots of leads with the free version and can automate the main conversations that will help bring you more followers and hopefully buyers. 

I recommend the premium version for businesses that are well-established and are communicating with thousands or even hundreds of thousands of contacts on multiple channels. Tips for Saving Money on ManyChat

Tip #1 – Know how many contacts you engage with and if it’s less than 1K, use the free ManyChat version.

Tip #2 – Be aware of the scaling price in the pro version and when that increases as your contacts list increases.

Tip #4 – Research and watch tutorials on the features you have access to in your ManyChat subscription so you can take advantage of all of the resources you are paying for.

FAQs About ManyChat Pricing

 

FAQ #1 – What’s one of the first things I should do once I sign up for ManyChat?

 

The first thing you can do is create a flow on ManyChat that will help you bring in more leads from Instagram. This will help you set up an automation on Instagram where you can tell people to leave a certain word on your Instagram post known as a “trigger word” that will make an automated message get sent to their DMs. This automated message is something you set up and customized previously on ManyChat.

Once they respond to your DM, your flow will walk them through what to do next to receive the information they are requesting. The best strategy to use here is to offer them a freebie and for them to sign up for your email list in order to receive it. This strategy is what exploded my email list! FAQ #2 – How many emails and SMS texts am I allowed to send without the price increasing?

 

You are allowed to send monthly emails to your contacts limit x 10. For example, if you have 300 contacts then you are allowed to send 3,000 emails per month. After reaching your email limit, any additional email sent in that same month will be billed at $0.003 per email. The same scenario applies to SMS texting. 

 

FAQ #3 – Is there a ManyChat community that offers support and guidance?

 

Yes! ManyChat has a Facebook community where all members who use ManyChat gather and help answer questions and offer support as you all are figuring out chatbot marketing together. Check it out HERE. 

 

FAQ #4 – How do I cancel my ManyChat subscription?

 

Go to the Billings section of your settings in your ManyChat account. From there, click on “Cancel Subscription.” Complete the 3 steps and then confirm. Next, you’ll need to provide a short description of what you’re canceling and then click “submit.” If you see “Pending Cancellation” then you have successfully canceled your account. 

The reason it says pending is because your subscription needs to finish its billing cycle. But you don’t need to worry, you will not be charged for it again once you’ve canceled. Click HERE for screenshots that walk you through this cancellation process.
