How to Make Words Pop In & Out of Your Reels

Are you wondering how to make words pop in and out of your reels? Maybe you’ve seen other reels do this lately, but you’re not sure how they’re doing it. Well, look no further. Here’s a quick tutorial on how to do it!

 

 

Why does it even matter if you have text pop in and out of your reel? Well, it catches people’s attention and encourages them to watch until the end. With all of the content people are consuming out there, you want to make sure you are taking those extra steps to make your content look more appealing than your competitors. 

And if the extra step is really easy to learn and can be done in a matter of seconds, why not give it a try, right? Even if it’s something as small as having words pop in and out of your reels on Instagram, it matters–and it’s just fun to learn a new way to create videos! 

 

 

How to Make Words Pop In & Out of Your Reels

Step #1: Pull up the reel you want to add the words to and then click “next.”

Step #2: At the top of your screen, you should see different options of things you can add to your reel. Click on the “Aa” button.

Step #3: Click on the screen and add the text you want to show up on your reel. (This is where you will also decide on the font, color, etc. of your text and text box.)

Step #4: At the bottom of your screen you should see the text you chose for your reel in a black bubble. Click on it. You’ll know it’s selected when it changes to a white bubble.

Step #5: Underneath that bubble, you’ll see the option to move the two outside edges of your video to shorten or lengthen it. Since your text is highlighted, you can move those two outside edges to any spot in your video where you want your text to pop in and out. 

 

 

And that’s it! Just 5 simple steps to make your words pop in and out on your Instagram reel. You can create multiple text boxes and have each of them pop in and out at different times throughout the video. Again, this extra feature is a great way to help keep your audience’s attention, so go try it out!!
